Divergence x Moonbirds

It's nearly a year since Arran minted his first NFT, putting some computational art that he had been obsessing over for years into the public sphere to see if it captivated anyone else as much as it did us.

We had NO idea what we were getting into...

To celebrate our wild and wonderful ride (so far), we're running a prize competition for a holder of one of our own collections—PROOF OF {ART}WORK, Brotchain, and The Kiss Precise—to win Moonbird #8859

To enter, please give us the value of x (to the nearest integer) where x = a / (b + c*d) and

a = The number of points which make up the PO{A}W Buddhabrot
b = The block in which the Brotchain contract was created
c = The tokenID of the Kiss Precise we have affectionately nicknamed "The Turtle"
d = The number of Moonbirds in existence

Some details:
  • The entry window closes 11:59 UTC on 12 May.
  • To enter you'll need to connect a wallet which contains either a Brot or a Kiss
    • As PREMINT only checks for two tokens, we've set this up for Brotchain and The Kiss. If you own a PO{A}W but neither of the others, please DM Harri on Twitter with your answer and PO{A}W-holding wallet address
  • On May 13 we'll run an fully transparent and verifiably fair prize draw, in which the full wallet contents of each participant with a correct answer will be taken into account (please see privacy notice below!) You'll get one entry for each Brotchain or Kiss held, and three for each PO{A}W
  • Wallets which haven't been registered won't be included. Similarly, if you register a wallet then move your divergence NFT out ahead of the draw, you won't get any entries
  • This is not an official collaboration with Proof or Moonbirds; the piece we are giving away is one we were given in return for our work on the project's smart contracts

By entering, you're accepting our Competition Terms & Conditions. In particular, you agree and consent to your wallet address being published collectively on our social media accounts in the event that you answer the question correctly, and in the event you are the winner, to your Twitter and/or Discord handle being published individually on our social media accounts. The reason for publishing all (correctly-answering) wallet addresses is that we will be publishing the code for the on-chain prize draw, to be fully transparent and prove fairness—and this will necessarily include all entrant details. If you object to your Twitter and/or Discord handles, or your Wallet address being published or made available, please do not enter the competition. Please see our Privacy Notice for more information about the Personal Data we process and publish.

Have questions?

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions. Did we miss something? DM us on Twitter to ask anything else.

Yes. ~50 million list registrations have happened on PREMINT without issue. When you sign in with PREMINT, you only are validating ownership of the wallet address. PREMINT does not get any permissions to perform transactions and does not have any way of withdrawing anything from your wallet.
Premint has been used by some of the top artists and collections in the NFT ecosystem, including XCOPY, Coldie, DeekayMotion, Cool Cats, Known Origin, Async Art, Shaq, and over 25,000 more.
Signing is the only way we can truly know that you are the owner of the wallet you are connecting. Signing is a safe, gas-less transaction that does not in any way give PREMINT permission to perform any transactions with your wallet.
PREMINT saves your wallet and social info as a part of the registration step, so you can disconnect everything afterwards and your entry is still valid.
As far as PREMINT is concerned, yes, but the project owner might check that you still own the token before finalizing the list.
If you fully registered, the only way your wallet wouldn’t be on the list of registered wallets is if the project removed it. PREMINT never deletes wallets from the list for any reason.
If you don’t know what wallet your Discord or Twitter are connected to, just go to https://premint.xyz/disconnect and you can force-disconnect them.
While creators are welcome to name their PREMINT projects whatever they like, we choose to use the term "allow list" or "access list" vs "whitelist." "Whitelist" could be considered exclusionary language, and the spirit of web3 is about inclusion.
