The media manipulated us through fear and hate as a distraction to profit from our conformity. The minds of our people suffered the consequences, but, enduring the same struggle taught us to re-connect, and the rebellion started.
Depressed Citizens is an urban NFT project with community at its heart, an artistic window to self-expression, with a social-artivist tone that unites us as struggling humans.
Our collection of 3333 NFTs is a representation of our individuality. Every citizen is unique, hand-drawn, and hand-assembled ; each attribute is carefully selected to represent a social/ethnic group in our society; using urban fashion as a way to express their identity. These groups were created according to the USA depression statistics , giving them a link to real life with their likelihood of depression. The rarest groups are the "Native Indigenous" and the "Uniques", a batch of super special 1/1s representing revolutionary Artivists.
Our collection will be minted on the securest network there is; the Ethereum blockchain . Our smart contract implements the ERC 721-A , a standard that supports minting multiple tokens for close to the cost of one, isn't it great?
